Chapter 4/5: Coordinated Multi-Robot Exploration

This animation shows a series of snapshots during a real world exploration experiment using three robots and a limited communication range. The circles around the robots in that video depicts the communication range of the individual vehicles.
This experiment has been carried out by Mark Moors and Frank Schneider at the Forschungsgesellschaft fuer Angewandte Naturwissenschaften (FGAN), Wachtberg, Germany.




This video illustrates the classification technique used in Chapter 5. It shows the result of the classifier learned with AdaBoost. Yellow refers to doorway, red to corridor, and blue to rooms.
