About me
I left the University of Freiburg in May 2016. Before, I was a postdoctoral research assistant in the Autonomous Intelligent Systems group headed by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgard. After studying at the University of Freiburg and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, I received a diploma in computer science (Dipl.-Inf.) in spring 2007 and a PhD in April 2013 from the University of Freiburg. My PhD thesis was about robot navigation in environments with deformable objects. In this context, we were interested in the autonomous acquisition of 3D models including deformation parameters, physical simulation of object deformations, and efficient planning and navigation techniques.Research Interests
